Why do we support prisoners?
As long as the prison system has existed, there have been anarchists on the inside. But our opposition to prisons and the system that sustains them isn’t just based on a thirst for vengeance for our comrades inside but it comes from our vision of an actually just society free from social ills like impoverishment and its root causes such as the property system.

Write to prisoners!
Writing letters to prisons helps break down the barrier of isolation the prison system enforces on its captives. It also helps build solidarity between those on the outside and on the inside of the walls, getting imprisoned isn’t the end of someone's participation in the struggle against capitalism and the state!

Prisoner List [Updated on 10/08/22]

Please note that we do not play good anarchist / bad anarchist with the anarchist prisoners below, nor do we expect the people listed below, (anarchist or otherwise) to agree with our politics. Additionally, being listed below is not an endorsement of the ideas or actions of anyone in this list.
Our concept of solidarity goes beyond actions and ideas that are necessarily 'ours' as ultimately we want all prisoners released and all prisons closed.

Kill The Bill Prisoners

Police clashed with protesters against the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill (policing bill) outside Bristol’s Bridewell Police station.

The night ended with several police vehicles on fire and demonstrators breaching police lines to break through the windows of the station. The police brutally attacked the demonstrators.

They are serving sentences between 3-14 years.

"Firstly I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone that has read the reports, followed our stories and even taken time to write us letters! It means so much to me, and I will be forever grateful. [...] I also want to say that in the end we will win, and we will not be defeated. With unity we have power. Even people in power. Even people in power don't have unity, and are weak."

The “Craigavon 2”

The "Craigavon 2" case saw two Irish Republicans wrongfully convicted of the murder of a police officer, after a trial before a "Diplock" court, a secret military court with no jury. The case has been supported as a miscarriage of justice by high profile campaigners, legal experts & human rights activists. The prosecution used discredited witnesses, inconclusive forensics, and tampered evidence to secure a conviction that does not stand up to scrutiny. Security services destroyed evidence, intimidated witnesses and defence lawyers.

"For every letter I receive, I will send a reply and we can open a dialogue of friendship and comradely relations. I like to hear about what motivates and interests you, what books you have read and what you thought about them, what places you have visited and so on. Anything you wish to share with me. A card or simple letter with a minimal message of support is appreciated, but what I enjoy most is news of the continuation of the struggle and what you think about it and what you feel in your heart day to day. [...] I love to receive images of the natural world, animals, of our planet, the solar system and stars."
Note; toby's mail has been tampered with constantly during his detention, he is also only allowed to send 3 letters out per week.
