Bristol: Anti-Authoritarians at War showing

This Sunday at BASE social Centre, Bristol Anarchist Bookfair are hosting a showing of “Anti-Authoritarians at War”. The documentary – by Manon Boltansky and Nico Dix – tells the story of anti-authoritarian resistance to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, highlighting the experiences, motivations, and struggles of anarchists and anti-fascists who chose to resist aggression with a focus on the work of Solidarity Collectives.

Filmed in the summer of 2024 across Ukraine, follow the people behind Solidarity Collectives, both those at the forefront and those working behind the scenes. The film looks at difficult choices, organising under fire, and solidarity that goes beyond borders.

The showing will start at 7pm follow the regular cafe social which starts at 6pm so come along early for some Vegan grub.

Entry is free (Donations to keep the Bookfair’s lights on are encourage.)

If you miss this event, the documentary will be the feature for the second OPA session we’re hosting on the 7th of November. This will be an online event so keep your eyes out for more details on that.

The Bookfair proper will take play on October 24 at the Trinity Centre.
