Hello subscribers, readers, everyone, apologies that it's been some time since we gave a general update and have in fact quite quiet in general. Hopefully the following addresses the reasons why and what we intend to do about it.
Dorset’s third Radical Bookfair will take place on Saturday 7th September 2019 at the Corn Exchange, Municipal Buildings, High St East, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 1HF Our clash with Bradford Bookfair is unintentional and unavoidable, we hope you'll support one or other event!
We're a ten-minute walk from either railway station - Dorchester South or West. The stalls will be on the ground floor, wheelchair access to meeting rooms on first floor is via lift.
Stalls
We invite applications for stalls from individuals, non-hierarchical groups and campaigns, grassroots unions, independent and non-commercial booksellers, artists, publishers and distributors. Priority will be given to those active in class struggle, antifascism, anti-oppression, environmentalism and mutual aid. No political parties please.
Stalls are £25 each in the main hall, £18 if booked by the end of May. In the unlikely event that we have any spare tables we’ll do our best to share them out on the basis of need. Setup from 9:30, open to public at 11:00. The hall must be cleared by 18:00 so we can set up for the gig.
Meetings
We’d appreciate suggestions for talks, discussions, presentations, workshops and films. Please send us a brief description of what you’d like to do, anything you would need, and a summary for the programme.
Other facilities
We aim to provide vegan food, snacks and drinks throughout the day. There will be a kids’ area - supervised play not crèche, guardians to remain in sight of their charges. There are a limited number of parking spaces at the venue for stallholders, if you need one please reserve it, priority will go to disabled drivers then those from out of the area. There are large public car parks nearby.
After Party
Live music from 7:30p.m to midnight, £5 suggested donation to Bookfair and to cover artists’ expenses.
We ask participants to endorse our statement of common principles
We want everyone attending this event to feel safe, comfortable and included. We reject hierarchy and coercion, we do not use or tolerate oppressive language: ableism, homophobia, racism, transphobia, sexism, snobbery or otherwise. We do not make excuses for sexual abuse or authoritarian regimes. We respect each other’s boundaries. We may ask people to modify their behaviour or take it elsewhere.
Payment
We should have a bank account set up by the end of this week and will post the details here. In the meantime payment can be made by paypal to: forevertrevorknits [at] gmail [dot] com or in cash to a member of the collective. ■

When discussing the on-going situation in Palestine we are often asked “What can I do?” and “Who would you suggest I give aid too?”. Our answer is Gaza Aid Direct, the organisers of which our members can vouch for and assure. “We're fundraising for those under assault in Rafah, so far we've sent 59 families […]
From 7pm on 9 June there is an arboricultural study camp set up at the Holifield Farm Project in Cornwall. Given a large focus of many people joining to Resist G7 is care for nature and the environment, we have also been invited to come along, camp and take part.
We, the anarchists, express ourselves in resounding opposition to the simple actions, which is to make a parade along the Séptima Avenue. Instead, we call for an indefinite General Strike, that leads to move the status quo for the benefit of the people: from its local oligarchs and bourgeois minorities, to the wide, long, broad and diverse peoples that make up the majority of the population in of the population in the Colombian region.

We speak as young workers, those who serve their homes closed under the name of corona virus outbreak measures. It is now time to raise our voices, which we maintain between cashiers, we deliver from one cargo engine to another, and we whisper between parcels on our back, and orders in the kitchens.
